Edison Park’s very own Don Juan’s Mexican Restaurant was voted Chicago’s #6 place to get margaritas in the Huffington Post. They say:
Edison Park might be a bit off the beaten path for many Chicagoans, but their margaritas, plus some deliciously authentic Mexican cuisine, make Don Juan’s worth the trek. But those margaritas can be addicting; make sure you’ve got a cab lined up for the trip back, or a very dependable DD.
Nice work, Don Juan’s … keep up the good work!

In 1890, they asked for — and received — Thomas Edison‘s approval to name their village in his honor. Edison Park joined the city in 1910.
